The thing that concerns me in buying oil from an unknown source is, is it counterfeit?it appears anything can be copied today and the consequences of using junk oil can be very costly indeed, with genuine oil now costing £30+ a litre counterfeit oil could be very profitable. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

hi M3 dpo
indeed and see on the Jag forum there’s been reports of some counterfeit oils
from reading page after page here i will buy the Mannol AG55 , the only confusing thing is how much oil will come out if i just drain it , without removing the pan , mixed quantities of up to 8 x litres and down to 4 x litres
will also get the Mannol 7723 engine oil
then ravenol for the transfer and diffs

If you are just dropping the gearbox oil from the drain plug you will get around 4 litres out.
Might be worth having some extra just in case.
This is what I used last time.
As you only get half the oil out by dropping from the drain plug I change mine every 37,500 miles.D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.
D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold but still comes back for servicing.
Defender 2002 Td5 Commercial, had a hard life but slowly being restored.
I only work so I can afford to repair my Land Rovers!

it’s just a case of finding all the little things out
plus , wouldn’t it nice , if they had fitted a dipstick on the gearbox
