| Make & Model of working OBD Scanners |

My existing OBDII scanner won't work with my 08 LR3, even though it's fine with every other car I've tried it on!
So, could people post the brand and model of OBD scanner that they've had success with when reading the D3/LR3?
I need to buy one - just had a check engine light which I couldn't diagnose/reset - and the stealship charged me the price of a good scanner, just to plug their's in!

Hi cdodkin,
The consensus seems to be one of the Blackbox Solutions products. Their original and more comprehensive unit is the Faultmate MSV2, while more recently, they have released the FCR (fault code reader and reset).

Was hoping to find an OBDII unit that would cover the LR3 and still be useful for other vehicles - any body any other suggestions for such a scanner?

I have tryed a few ..and there a waste of time ...if it ever does connect to the car it will only ever read the main engine ECU . It wont do the other 20 or so on the D3
Save your money and get a faultmate .  G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
