major fuel leak

I developed a major fuel leak yesterday coming from around the high pressure fuel pump, very hard to see exactly where its coming from given its position. This leaks with just the ignition on aswell, and does not afect performanceof the vehicle. Any clues would be apriciated is it a split hose/pipe or is the pump gone? Vehicle is an 07 tdv6.

Has you car had the recall done on the injection pump? If not maybe this is the issue.

I don't think it has had the recall done, and am not willing to drive it with the amount of fuel leaking(over the exhaust).

I think the issues that you have are exactly why the recall was done. I would be getting your car to a dealer as soon as possible to get this recall and the brake booster recall done.

I suspect this may fix your problem.

Are you on www.aulro.com - you should be asking this type of issue there - just a bit closer to home.

Call LR assist and do not drive it. Is it still under warranty? Even if not they should fix it anyway.

Right - ring LR Assist and tell them the problem, quoting this recall notice:

The first time I had this problem, it was flat-bedded to the dealer. Diesel leaking onto the turbo is a real worry. Shocked

And make sure the brake booster recall has also been done.

Car was towed to landrover, although my vin number falls in the middle of the range aparently not all numbers are affected by this recal? Maybe we see what acually failed when they get it apart. Parts are 10 days away so its out of action for a while.
I think the the brake booster recal was done.
Thanks for your replies so far.
