2009 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Santorini Black

Major fuel leak

Just lost 1/4 of a tank of fuel between Weymouth and Poole.
Seems to be coming from the front of the tank but can't really see at the road side, it was enough of a leak to cover the back of the car and be dripping of the exhaust and rear brakes after doing 60mph before I noticed it.

The AA can't do anything and will be taking me to my local garage (Bournemouth landrover specialist)

Anybody know of any common faults that I can fix before I spend all my monies.

Suspension in off road height then look in the drivers side front wheel arch towards the rear with a torch and you can see the fuel filter and its pipes.
Do not put your head in the arch!

2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Java Black

It's a 2009 euro 4 disco so the fuel filter is directly in front of the fuel tank.

Remove gearbox under tray and filter is located behind another shield held on with three bolts, 10mm I think. Stu

It was the fuel filter, don't think it was the housing as they only charged me £108 including parts at £27. So I'm assuming it was the water drain. Apparently they had 2 landrover in last week with the same issue, I'm assuming the hot weather must play a part.
