Maintenance Tracking

I am interested to see how everyone tracks the maintenance they have performed and when maintenance is next due.

There is a lot to cover with the Discovery and as a new owner I would like to be able to list everything that needs doing and work through the list, so that I know everything has been done, and when it is next due.

A spreadsheet is of course one easy option - but I am interested to know if there is anything prebuilt/good to go.

I haven't found much in the way of personal car maintenance trackers - there are a few apps on the app stores but the main focus seems to be tracking fuel usage and (at least the free ones) do not seem very polished.

Looking at fleet management applications seem a bit more promising - however these are generally paid, and the ones I have looked at with a free trail, such as Fleetio, seem to have a bit too much functionality, in the sense that they presume you do actually have a fleet to manage.

FleetVIP is a Windows desktop app and looks promising - nice and simple, and free for two vehicles, so I think I will start off by trying that.

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations?

Re: Maintenance Tracking

Most people on this forum will be servicing their cars waaaayyy more often than the schedule.... For this reason I tend not to worry about it but then I don't do crazy miles. Do always write the date on parts you change. Those white paint markers are good for that.

Acar app is quite good for tracking servicing and fuel, you can set your own reminders using both mileage and time
 Prospeed Roof Rack & Ladder
Rear mounted spare wheel carrier
Altox remote FBH
High level boot storage
Shire's Rock sliders & compressor guard
D4 Heated steering wheel
Solar panel charging system

It is quite simple, picka mileage/time you wish to carry out the servicing, ie 5k is an easy one to remember, then change oils and check everything whilct you are under there, as the cars age time is their main enemy and not mileage.
