The reversing the camera only shows as far down as the rear wiper (not the step) is this correct?
The image in the Instruction book shows the step, which would make it easier to reverse into tight spaces.
Thanks for any help.

Fitz
My rear view camera is mounted in the number plate light housing so it's below the rear wiper. I get the complete back step plus all the ground to the rear as far as I need to see. If you're able to see the rear wiper, yours seems to be mounted in a different place to the standard.

Hi Fitz,
Yeah mine also shows everything with not a wiper to be seen anywhere! AFAIK all D4s have their reversing camera in the same place ?
Apart from that though, do like it?

Does anyone know if the reversing camera can be 'hacked' to stay on whilst driving forwards? I know it is progammed to stay on for a few seconds as you go from reverse to forwards, but then it turns off.
Do you need to have the surround cameras to get the constant view?

sorry but I dont understand any of this post
the reversing camera is under the tailgate handle and covers the bumper and road behind the vehicle and there arent any "steps" on the D3/D4.
what instruction book are you looking at ? Duncan

If you go into the diagnostic screen ..you can view the camera on there ....it would need to be done each time you start the car though G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

I've got the surround cameras and there is a "Trailer view" which keeps the rear camera on whilst driving forwards. I don't know about a D4 without the surround cameras though?...
