LR4 ANNOYING ALARM SOUNDS WHEN OFFROAD
I am getting ready to buy a 2012 LR4 very soon, looking as of today. I was watching a video of the LR4 off road being tested and what I heard was constant different noises alarms in certain off road conditions, can someone please explain & can these annoying sounds be turned off!!!
Thanks [/b]

Can you post video?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

That does not seem normal, any explanation as to what was happening? Even if I get traction control to come on, it's just a dash warning, not alarmsSill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders

Could the noises have been the high and low pitched beeping noises of the from and rear parking sensors which can get very annoying off road (but can be switched off)?2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄

Thanks for all your replies on this matter! I will look for that video & post it when I find it again, it was one of the many videos on you tube reviews of the LR4. As to "Red Merles" response as I remember it indeed was the high and low pitched beeping noises of the front and rear parking sensors which can get very annoying off road,, so these can be turned off for sure? I have never heard more annoying noises in a Land Rover or any other vehicle ever, the gentleman reviewing the LR4 pointed these noises out & was dissapointed as I remember. Anyway, just wanted some clarification that this was a known issue and it can be turned off, if not please send plenty of EAR PLUGS!!!!!
Thanks again,
Brad

Yup
front and rear parking sensors.
Not much of an off road test. and he does not know what he is doing, didn't use the off road settings at all.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Handily the button has a light that comes on when it is active, so easy to find and press to kill the sensors.
On the D4 the fronts do not come on automatically unless you have just been in reverse (as per the video). Once you get above parking speed they automatically turn off.
