Since the Canadian government has just announced a $4,000 extra tax to the car company on "gas guzzlers", with immediate effect: if that applies to my new car I will have to go with Mercedes GL or ML - they offer a Diesel of both. LR does not offer a Diesel, and no way will I pay an extra $4,000 for my new car.
I am not sure if prices are actually going to go up but I cannot imagine the car makers will absorb this cost. In any case this is not good for LR.
Does anyone know, does this apply to new cars - will they all go up by $4,000 as of now? Who knows details?
