My vehicle in body shop this week to repair a dent left by Midrand during
their last wasted effort. Apparently it's all fixed. Can't wait to get her back Monday.

After numerous disappointments and hard words at a number of stealers, I today had an emergency repair and took the vehicle to LR Centurion again (at the time, only because they are the closest). What a turn-around and a great experience! Apparently they have a new Service Manager and introduced a Customer Relations Manager. Whether they had any effect I cannot say, since I only dealt with Sandy van der Walt (Service Advisor) and Shafiq (Foreman), but these latter two were great in sorting out the problem quickly and efficiently despite having a Motorite claim involved and me arriving completely unannounced. Thumbs Up

By the way, the symptoms were lots of smoke and very little power when accelerating (or trying to) on the open road such as passing another vehicle. Immediate diagnosis by Shafiq was that it was probably a burst intercooler pipe, which it turned out to be. Replaced it and voila! Very Happy

We taught them well, and now Centurion have gained some experience.

Sandton LR do not know how to change oil filter on D4 V8's. My car and my business partner's car were serviced same week. Both had oil all over garage floor after getting cars back! Engine and covers,underbody plates covered in oil! Service Manager says they did not have correct tool for job and cracked some cover.....I just shook my head! Fortunately car is no longer mine! New D4 delivered yesterday!
