LR extended warranty
I have just received my renewal for the LR extended warranty. Premium has gone up 30%. I was firmly told when I telephoned "it is due to the age of the vehicle, which is over 5 years old". No discussion, no amendment. D4 is 6 years old in November and has not yet hit 30,000 miles. Anyone else been hit with this sort of increase?

And remember in a recent case they refused to cover a blown engine, saying known defect.

Interesting. Mine will be 5 years this Dec and I will get the renewal around then. Time to look elsewhere I think, not sure I could stomach 30% increase.MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

Full Extended Warranty only. No Assistance £1,185. Last year was £910. £1,185 - £910 = £275 which is 30% increase.

Warranty Direct has quoted me £750 for Extra Care, no betterment on my 93k MY10 D4. Just had the front wheel bearings replaced and the saving on those alone pays for the policy.

On a flip side for the last three years I have kept up the LR extended warranty on my G4...
Can honestly say it has paid for itself several times over.
Had them replace the E diff rear axle (stupid expensive), the suspension bushes all round, the torque converter, the full prop shaft, the wheel bearings, the suspension compressor, etc....
Had my monies worth with no quibbling....

Flip side of the flip side, I've had WD cover on my D4 and it hasn't put a foot wrong in 12 months (well from new).
Damn that LR reliability!!
Still time to go, got 2 more years of WD cover. I wouldn't be without it, esp with engines going pop.

I’ve just extended my LR warranty for the first time. Not sure if it’s worth it, only done 18k so far but reading this forum scares me !!
Mine was £855 with no assistance.Velar MY18 D180 S Narvik

After having a LR extended warranty on my wife 11 plate, decided to go with Warranty Direct this time. Alot cheaper and covers more I beleive.
Had the rear cam oil seal go this year which LR warranty would not cover.
LR Customer Services finally stumped up to cover he cost. Very good of them I felt, but discussed by LR Warranty (Car Care Plan Ltd)..New Defender Deposit paid 12/17:-) Lookin forward to Dec 2018.
