Just a quick update for anybody who’s following the thread. Got JLR Customer Relations involved but they couldn’t help with regards to the warranty. They were very helpful however and followed up with the stealers to confirm the £500 quote was just for the bushes so I’ve told them politely to go and take a running jump Laughing

Turns out the cost at the stealers is £1400 for replacement arms. Tried another local MOT centre (small non-LR indy firm) and they have quoted £1000. Finally found an independent LR garage in Kent (RCV) and they have quoted £858 using genuine LR parts so it’s booked in with them. Don’t think I’ll get it any cheaper and they sound like a nice bunch of guys after speaking to them.

Thanks all for the advice etc. Once this has been fixed I’ll be selling the Disco as we no longer need it for towing and it’s just too big and expensive to use as an every day car. I’ll miss it but have to be sensible Wink
