i do not get very good fuel economy either i have posted loads about this and the car has been back to the dealers, i drive carefully and all that but it is still on fuel mine has done 5000 miles now so should have loosened up a little i have given up on the mpg now and drive it hard EVERYWHERE and still get the same mpg as i do driving carefully so your not on your own

What are people's average speed when quoting mpg without it I find it hard to make any comparison.

I drive it hard and get 17/19 around town, where it spends most of its life and about 24 on a run, shall we say keeping up or ahead of the rest of the traffic.
I don't think that this is too bad for a 3 ton lump especially as my Beemer 2.5 only gets 17 around town, same power but much less weight and it's a petrol.
