Low Coolant Warning Sensor 2005 Discovery 3 |
|
I have had a low coolant message for about a month. The coolant is at a normal level. Reading the forum it was clear that it was probably a faulty sensor. I have replaced the sensor which simply clips into the bottom of the expansion bottle. Unfortunately this has not rectified the problem. Do I need to replace the complete expansion tank. I susect there must be some kind of float in it that the sensor registeres the position of. Or do I need to reset or have the computer re set? Many thanks for any advice.

Yep, new tank and float required. Most early vehicles had this done under warranty, yours must have slipped the net.
