Simon,
You mention a memory seat module and your car is an 'S'. I'm curious to know what I may have overlooked on mine. Can you tell me what it is?
If you're upgrading, will you also be asking about the pre-heater/cooler?

Lex,
My 'S' has no Settings Menu as (it seems) all others with the 'S' spec have.
My car was built early and it appears they 'forgot' to fit it. All the other requirements for the Settings Menu are there :
'i' button on left column stalk
Stereo controls on steering wheel
Hi Line Message Centre
Rumour has it that there were part shortages so the module was 'taken' from demonstrator cars to be used on HSE's. I have a feeling my car started life on the system as a demo vehicle then got allocated to me. It arrived 3 months earlier than it should have done... which was very nice of course 
As for the Pre Heater...
Mine works automatically to help heat the engine up when the temperature outside is cold... as I have no Settings Menu I have not been able to 'play' with the timer setting for this.
Goes in end of next week for attention so will update post this.

I understand now. I thought it might be something to do with automatic seats and 'memory' of positions.
Hard to think of the pre-heater when I'm here in shirt sleeves, blind down and fan on, but I know it would be useful to have its programming sorted by December. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

The module I'm sure is vital for the electric lazy seats and position memory... but is also required 'to complete the loop' I suspect for the Settings Menu to work... it has a lazy entry setting so would need the module to interrogate even if the car has only manual seats.

I've had no Low Coolant errors since the top up so it looks like it was a genuine warning and not an error. No icon in the message centre along with the text but perhaps that another feature that got into the manual but not the vehicle?
So (assuming I'm right above) I've had not any electrical system issues at all, the one brief suspension error warning I had which cleared itself instantly when a door was opened just as I pushed the lever to lower the vehicle I'm convinced was just the system getting slightly confused. Moving the lever would have sent a lower command to the system but opening the door would have sent a cancel all suspension movement command to the system, as both commands were issued with a second of each over I believe the system basically got confused and flashed up the suspension error warning then cleared it straight away once it sorted itself out.
This makes me wonder how many other warnings owners are seeing are genuine? Obviously the ones accompanied by physical problems are but those that appear for no apparent reason may just be the system issuing an error warning before it has double checked if there is really one. This is a software issue in its own way but a minor one, I'd rather the system was overkeen than lazy!

I had my coolant bottle replaced a couple of weeks ago and I no longer get any randem 'low coolant' warning upon start. It was never an issue for me as there was coolant visable in the bottle when I got the first warning. It took the mechanic at most 10 minutes to swap. Wa Hoo

Guys,
Mine was in for this but is still not fixed.
The dealer are waiting on new supply of bottles from manufacturer into LR to fix mine.

After bringing up the issue again, dealer replaced coolant bottle and said faulty sensor this time.
At this point they are just replacing it with the same part. So I assume this will be defective in about six months also.
Is any one aware of a redesign?

I was told by my service rep that it is a known issue and they will replace the coolant bottle next time I bring it in.
