Low Battery Warning - Please start vehicle

Hi All,

I am getting this warning on my dash. Its obvious what it means but I only get this when connected to the battery charger or when i disconnect the battery charger.

I have tested the battery and its fine.

If I drive the vehicle for a few kms and then park it for a day or 3 I do not get the message until I plug in the charger again.
The charger is a CTEK MXS 5.0 eight stage charger, 12V 5A

Any ideas?

Thank you

Do you connect the charger:

-Ve to the chassis (not to the negative pole of the battery)
+Ve to the positive pole of the battery

If you use the -ve terminal of the battery rather than a chassis ground, then the BMS doesn't register the charge you're putting onto the battery. This can give you all sorts of problems Thumbs Up

Yes correct, the charger/maintainer connected directly mislead the BMS; your battery is fully charged but the BMS still "think" that the battery charge is always as before, unchanged.
