Just been to collect my car from the Stealers for them to rectify quite a few problems which were IMHO related to low battery output voltage or the car being too sensitive to a slightly less than fully charged battery.
They have put a new battery in the car to sort this out and there were mumblings of there being a problem with the Varta batteries fitted having the plates too close together causing buckling
Rather bizarrely they also fixed a problem with one of the selectors in the gearbox that I didn't know I had and fitted new rear brake calipers to sort out the squealing when reversing.
Don't know if the battery problem is fixed yet, I'll have to wait for a nice cold morning and see if I get the "timed climate unavailable" message. 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

I suspect the gear selector replacement was the result of your concern over the gearbox warning message you were getting at startup. The cure is a replacement selector mechanism.
Hope you problem is sorted. I find it strange that others with the low battery warning issue are not getting batteries changed.

You are right that it is odd that there have been no other battery replacements.........not sure if that is good or bad for me.......it could be that they have just wazzed a battery on it because they couldn't think of anything else or don't understand the battery management system.......or it may be sorted 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE
