Lovely drive to work

There was a smattering of snow on my drive this morning so I decided to take the road through the Goyt valley rather than join the procession over long hill and through Whaley Bridge and Kettleshulme. Not many others had braved the route judging by the tracks, and I had the whole road to myself all the way to Pyms Chair where I encountered a flatbed lorry attempting and failing the hill climb. Fortunately, he was next to the carpark/layby so I was easily able to duck round the side, at which point I was greeted by a tosser in a L200 going far too fast, overtaking the lorry. We both slid to a graceful stop a few feet apart.

Anyway, aside from that it was a lovely drive to work, and a damn sight less expensive and damaging than going to the Crois to drive on snowy roads.

Sounds good BCB. We have some overnight snow here as well, although my communicate is no where as scenic as what you have.

Here is my 2km drive to work,

the spot where I got stuck night before with the x-trail (in office outfit) after working far too long without watching the snow storm....

 Some people get by
With a little understanding
Some people get by
With a whole lot more
I dont know
Why you gotta be so undemanding
