2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Manual Zermatt SilverDiscovery 3
Lost drive

Hi All,
About 2 months ago i lost drive in my disco 3 manual while moving down the road, RAC transported it to a gearbox specialist who had put a recon gearbox in 14months before. He thought it needed a new clutch but after close inspection noticed the drive coupling flange had come out of the back of the transfer box about 10mm, he knocked it back in and hay presto i had drive. He then investigated why it had come out, took the popshaft off and the pulled the said coupling out of the transfer box, it is retained by a spring ring around the end of the shaft which opens up after you push the coupling fully home, a new coupling and ring were replaced because it had worn at the end of the shaft, they then tried to pull the coupling out with 2 crowbars but it would not come out, so everything was put back together and worked fine till today. My Disco lost drive again going down a slight incline about 30mph, i got a woring noise then lost drive, i looked underneth noticed the coupling had come out again so i knocked it back in and got drive again. It's going back to the garage again next week, could it be a seized / worn propshaft joint or is it internal of transfer box, any thoughts on the problem ?
