Loss of Power re cold weather

Very Happy Very Happy Hi to all, I have very good news, now that my D3 has failed again due to the cold weather [4th time] I finally managed to contact / speak to someone with a bit of sence.

She has comfirmed that LR Tech support and Enginerring have now admitted there is a fault when the the temp falls to 2 degress or below,
I'm told they are looking into this problem as a matter of urgency, looks like a veh recall is it way.

The sad news they will noy coment on their latest TV advert, I suggested the D£ was being pulled by a different veh than LR, their reply was a laugh and no coment

Yours to all

United Kingdom 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Manual Bonatti GreyDiscovery 3

I'll add to the cold vehicle problems so interested in keeping up to speed with feedback.

Syptoms om my TD6 Manual are:

1. Noticable poor starting at -2degs or below
2. Previosly unexplainable electric door locking (locked out of car with engine running)
3. Slow LCD response on dash eg Gear shift indicator changes 3 or 4 seconds after you have changed gear.

Maybe temperature related or co-incidence ???

There is a software upgrade that resolves this. The correlation with temperature is clear with your starting problem, but can also impact voltage at start-up, resulting in other "errors", which are not errors at all.

See TSB LA303-004.

System Power loss

Hi ALL

Yes I'm aware of the latest systrm upgrade, BUT if this sys upgrade has been done within the ast month, I think its the same one have have already had done by my dealership.

The 1st indication is a sys warning telling you that there is a FULL SYS TURN OFF.

Regards
