Disklabs are certainly not the cheapest, but seem to have excellent reviews & a good range of products.

So why exactly do these bags fail and therefore why do they need testing? Are they not passive?
This is a forhcoming problem for me. Currently carkeys hang on a hook in my kitchen (a long way from any long pole hookability attack) but when my new keyless-entry one turns up it will be parked on the drive not 8 feet (as the crow flies up 6 feet and through the house wall) from the aforementioned hook and so will be vulnerable to the repeater attackSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

I think it's because they have a coating (metallic??) on the inside fabric which turns them into a faraday pouch rather than just a fabric pouch. Every time the keys go in and out they wear the coating a little, which eventually renders them just 'fabric pouches with some coating inside'.
Just take the whole pouch out to the car every now and then and see if car opens without taking the key out. Normally come in pairs (or at least I recommend you buy in pairs , to keep your spare key elsewhere). This will allow you some time to obtain another if you find that it doesn't work anymore.
CheersGary

I think I’d rather the FFRR was stolen than go to the trouble of keeping the ‘key’ in my gun cabinet. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Yes, be careful using tins. I need rued a few different ones. Some worked better than others, but most were intermittent. In some cases it depended on which way around the lid was fitted. If you need to be sure ( which I think we do , because there’s no point otherwise), then best spend £5 on a pouch.Gary
