Looking forward to tugging the tin tent with my d3
Finally managed to get myself a d3 to pull my 1450kg tin tent around.had a kia sorento before which was good but gearbox started to fail so bailed out before the thing went completely.Have always hankered for a discovery and managed to find a 06 2.7 tdv6 auto for a reasonable price.after a quick spin and a look under the bonnet it was gonna have to be mine.never sat in or drove something this comfortable and am looking forward to finding out just how well it tows.only trouble is I have to wait till october for a break.
Stil this will give me the chance to get a grille, side vent ,side steps, dog guard, dog ramp. Not mention change front rear bushes ,front pads and try to find the cause of a slight rattle/ clatter when on full lock to right.have had a look with my friendly mechanic, can't seem to find it.maybe cv or track rod ends but nothing shows. Still from what I've read so far it's all part of the joy of owning a d3!
So if in October you happen to see an 06 d3 pulling a caravan around the Cambridgeshire country side with 2 large German shepherds in the back. Please excuse the huge grin on the drivers face. It's only because he feels like the cat who finally got the cream
