Look out chaps, incoming!

Just got told I need to be in Jo'burg for the latter part of this week. Staying at the Southern Sun Montecasino - Fourways from Wednesday for 2-5 nights depending on how meetings go and what flights I can get back.

Anywhere I should be aiming for on Thursday evening for a spot of civilised relaxation?

No Dosh,

Get yourself to Sandton City / Square on Thursday evening for a meal at the Butcher Boys.....best steak in the world.

It's been that long since I've been in Jo'burg I couldn't tell you if any watering holes are open around Fourways, but there used to be a good few just off the main road

Cuzzy is indeed out there. I have a number to ring..... Whistle

Could get messy if I end up taking the Sunday flight back. On the wait-list for Friday and Saturday, confirmed for Sunday at the moment.

LMF, thanks for that tip Thumbs Up

Have a good 'un Al, I've found a GSM aerial for you in the garage, it doubles up as a tax disc holder and has a fairly long lead on it.

Welcome to sunny SA

Monte Casino has lots of nice ("Lekker") places to eat and drink ...so no need to get out of there .. BUT yes Butchers Grill in Sandton City (Sandton Square) is very good.

Howzit NoDosh, like Nico says, you probably don't need to leave montecasino, they have something like 20 restaurants in there. One called Meat Company - nuff said.
If you are still around Saturday, and bored, gimme a buzz and we can have a braai, beer/wine/tea. I am 15 minutes from Monte. (I will be down in Durban Thursday and Friday. )
Heine and the rest might be around too.

Possible - if I can get it in my carry-on luggage. May have to leave it with hotel reception though as looks like flights are now confirmed for Friday night?

Hi Nodosh, will this be your 1st visit to SA?

As all has said Monte is very entertaining although Landrover owners club of SA have a event on this weekend if you are bored. Check their website - LROC.org.za.

Cheers
