London Victoria insurance |
|
After 15 years of insuring my Defender with NFU they put my premium up from £190 to £860 when i changed to my D3. I expected it to maybe double but £860 is just silly "we are sorry but premiums have gone up a lot this year".Anyway the best quote iv'e had on a comparison site is £441 which i think is ok. However i tend to think you generally get what you pay for and cheap isn't always good. Has anyone had any experience of London Victoria insurance? Thanks

Been using them for mine for a few years and SWMBO's for the last couple.
Had no claims (Apart from Windscreen and tailgate window on Friday ) so can't comment on how good that side is - and don't want to find out
One good thing is that it is easy to add mods and don't seam to charge the earth for them Mark.

Used LiverpoolVic for years. They used to be Frizzell's. Not always the cheapest but always quick, efficient and ready to help. Claims Centre is in UK not India!!

Do they cover off road driving ?.
If not try Adrian Flux, I pay about £400 with business cover, no claims protection and legal cover. You may have to push them for a good price though, so make them work for it.

Flux insure my 101. They have been fine so far on a limited mileage policy through the 101 club.

Well I wrote their complaints procedure, and their "treating customers fairly" policy.
SO you're pretty much screwed I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Just tried LV - great price but if you have 3 modifications of any sort then they won't cover you
I have LR Snorkel, LR A Bar & lamps and an RLD sump guard, so no go with LV. Tony

I'd say they're accessories not modifications and with the exception of Rays plate genuine LR dealer fit ones which normally makes them even less of an issue (irrespective of whether they were actually fitted by a dealer)
When I was insured with Frizzell they'd cover any mods as long as they didn't affect the performance or handling of the vehicle, i.e. no remaps or lowering kits The End

LV confirm that all 3 are Mods not accessories
LV aren't the only ones to regard anything as a modification even if it doesn't affect performance. Tony
