LOF brakes

The D3 is due some new anchors all round and the last set were Delphi. No complaints but I’m keen to hear if anyone has fitted the LOF kit and what do they think of them?

Power Spec or Road Spec?

I was looking at these https://lofclutches.com/shop/brakes/brake-...brake-kit/ or https://lofclutches.com/shop/brakes/brake-...brake-kit/ and minded to go for the latter.

I’ll most likely go for standard as drilled and grooved can be a pain with grit etc when off road.

That's interesting. I've never experienced slotted/grooved/drilled discs offroad and must confess that I was perhaps falling into the "more expensive therefore must be better" trap! Laughing

Having said that, I reckon the time I really want better brakes is on road and at faster speeds, where the fancy discs might hopefully buy that meter or so of shortened stopping distance.

On a vehicle like a Discovery I would think your tyre choice would make more of a difference for stopping distances than a slotted or drilled disc.

From memory, even my friends RRS SVR was fitted with solid discs* from the factory.

* Solid, but vented.
