Do I have a locking rear diff?
Apologies for what is probably a daft question, but is there any way for me to quickly/easily work out if I have a locking rear diff?
I thought it had one, and pretty sure I saw the diff lock symbol over the rear axle go red in rock crawl mode
Now it stays green, but symbol still there, and IIDtool CCF file reports thats it’s not fitted.
Still so much to learn about my D3

Thanks guys.
Can’t orientate myself to that photo at all thought. Where’s it taken from?
The photo I took was with the car up a ramp, from the underside looking up at the back of the diff facing the front.
In any event, couldn’t see a motor anywhere, but the one on the centre diff was easy to see.
Guessing if the centre diff motor was easy, then the rear diff one would be as well.

Photo shows cut away of e-diff. If you raise the vehicle to off road height and look in from RH rear wheel you should see the motor and some wires. No motor, no e-diff

Photo from Gstuart was taken from the top with the body off.
You can also check near the left hand rear wheel.
on top of the chassis there is a connector block
Before the cables go from the chassis into the body.
With rear diff lock there are 3 connectors
(the connector from the diff lock is a blue one)
Without rear diff lock there are only 2 connectors present
