Quick questin re wether I have a locking rear diff or not. I Have just bought an 07 model HSE. Playing about with the settings the other day in rock crawl mode and looking at the 4x4 info a symbol for the centre diff came up and also for the rear diff (both were showing as unlocked). Is this just a default setting on the info display or does it mean that i have a rear diff if the symbol is there.

All D3's have a rear diff but it is an option to be able lock it yourself i believe
there is a way to tell if you have a locking rear diff i think it involves getting underneth or something.
i am sure however there will be a welth of knowlage along in a couple of seconds to give the definative answer Ha Ha This a way!

All models have the icon for rear diff lock on the 4x4 info screen, It does not mean that you have got the rear diff lock though. If you ordered it, you will have it it. If you did not order it then its highly unlikely that your car has it by mistake

Cheers. I thought that may be the case. It was a car that was already built prior to me ordering it. My main concern that it was the right model and colour. I have noticed that it has got the directional headlights which I thought were an option so made me wonder re the rear diff.
It makes no difference either way as I have a P38 for off roading at present. In general though the first 1000 miles have been fabulous. It is the best motorway cruiser I have driven. It is so quiet and rerfined. I didn't expect it to be better at eating the miles than a 7 series V8 BMW I had but its much better.
Off to Maxxrax tomorrow for the fitting of a bike rack.
