Locking Filler Flap

...........Or should I say ....Non locking fuel filler flap !!!!
Found out today that I can open filler flap in the usual way whilst car is securely locked.
It looks as though a pin should engage with hole in back of flap.
Anyone had a similar problem and if so how's it fixed ?
