Locations to find these please. |
|
Received the IID tool on the morning of raking the caravan on holiday.
Playing a bit now.
Can someone please tell me where I can find:
Parking sensor control unit
Suspension valve block for the rear.
Sensors haven’t worked a little while. After clearing faults it comes up with power issue on the sensors.
Suspension had its gremlins. Once I stated recalibrating a lot was sorted.
Left with rear left height sensor
Slow drain of suspension.
If I clear faults, and lift or drop suspension straight away, it works fine most of the time. After a while it says normal height only. When calibrating, I can go up or down on the front, but the rear doesn’t drop. I can here a click every time I press the down arrow, but nothing happens. Guessing some sort of sticky valve.
Ideas welcome. MY07 Freelander2 SE Santorini Black - Gone

Park sensor is in rear left panel of boot, however a more common issue is a shorted sensor. Difficult to locate which one though. I recommend you disconnect the front loom under the drivers headlight. Clear faults and see what returns. Obvs you will get front sensor errors, but has the power one gone or does it remain.
Regarding rear not dropping. Ensure park brake off. See if it makes a difference. Valve block under car and nightmare to get to.

Thank you.
SWMBO decided that as we were on holiday, I want allowed to 'play' with the car and my new toy.
Didn't help that I was bored after 20 mins in stationary traffic. Decided to look around the app. Found the bit where you can change the digital speed to km. Thought I would try that. Didn't read where it shuts the car down while it resets everything, and takes about 5 mins. Typically the road opened while that was happening. Had to sit with hazards on until I could start it back up. MY07 Freelander2 SE Santorini Black - Gone

Wait until you play with it again while not at home and you drain the main battery while updating an important ECU who happened to be bricked after that…
See how she reacts then…. Best regards

I thought that, on a D4, switching to KM/H can be done on the menu on the dash?
Can on mine and works on the fly without any interruption. .

As above. That is how it works on mine. No need for IID to change to Km/h. Gary
