No normal insurance does not cover off road. Just changed mine to NFU Direct today who do give off road cover from e-sure who dont. All insurance covers you for green laning but not off road. I got quotes from Land Rover Insurance, Adrian Flux and NFU. There are probably others that do it but these are the ones that I've seen mentioned on this forum.Badda bing.......How you doin'?
Java black SE, standard spec. Clean and shiny.

To elaborate, green lanes are byeways open to all traffic, so are technically roads (albeit muddy ones) whereas offroad sites like Tong are NOT public roads so you'd need additional cover.
Watch out though, as some insurers are understood to define "road" as metalled (tarmac) road. If there is no such exclusion/definition in your policy booklet then you are covered for greenlanes.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Land Rover Ins provide "off road cover" specifically and known to pay out when damage occurred offroad.

I have 2 insured with them, one at £400 & one at £600, the latter will be down to the same level as the former or I'll scweem & scweem & scweem. Rural post code (Heelands) and SD&P only, 15k & 23k miles per year.
