YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN A GREAT HELP THANKS!!
I will get in touch with the TFC and arrange for them to come. Do you know if they have a call out charge?
I dont think the local garage has had a D3 in before. The car does not drive like a pig to me it is one of the best driven cars i have driven for a while.

Does anyone know if it is normal for the wheels to have play - movement side to side and back and forth when fully jacked up off the ground??
thanks for your help

I hate to say the obvious, but I'd first be more concerned about title to the car than whether its bushes are fecked.

Hope you've fully checked its V5 against chassis, and been supplied with a full set of documents etc etc.
Otherwise ... yes it looks like a nice one, hasn't got that 'ragged' look Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

i did the same and purchased an 04 plate off ebay. Its worth noting that Hartwells Northampton sold a similar age & mileage vehicle for £18k !!!
So spending £2k on a £12k purchase still makes its viable.
Assuming you did all the HPI checks etc its seems reasonable.
I cant recommend TFC (Iain is his name) enough, top top bloke, I will never use a dealer again.
Enjoy, let us know how you get on.Got our Disco... Love it.....
Now get it fixed then come over to Tong (Parkwood) and get it dirty with the rest of us
Signup is still open and you will meet some friendly souls, all from the forum...... ALL IN D3's FORECAST FOR TONIGHT: things have happened out there!!!

Thanks paulJ1 WaznotWas,
Feel so much better now thanks for your comments!
I really like my disco3 I am landrover newbie we needed a bigger and safer car for the ever growing five children so we bought a disco3 and selling the vauxhall zafira.
So spending £2k on a £12k purchase still very good i am happy and i did all the HPI checks etc with the RAC.
I am waiting for Iain to get back to me some time today.
Thanks for the welcome to the club.
I am looking into where Tong (Parkwood) is sounds a great idea going off roading and get it dirty with the rest of you.
Where is more info on the signup?
