I too stood on a weaver fish spine. Doesn’t count as a bite I know. The swelling and pain worked its way up my leg to above my ankle. Warm water apparently helps ( hence the stories of others peeing on it). My wife ran and got some cold water as we didn’t know until a life guard informed us about the hot water. The cold water made it worse.
I was informed afterwards that it is the most poisonous British animal. Cleared up in 3 hours and no problems afterwards. Worrying at the time.

Yep.... I've been there. In Wales may I add. Cleared up, but it was in the arch of the foot so a little tender for a while. Cant remember how long (few weeks). A hot Costa coffee against the wound worked a treat. Went back in the sea the next day with neoprene soled boots but was concerned for the dogs.

I had a funny one when I was a kid. Decided to ride through a heavy patch of nettles , not realising there was hole / ditch (concealed by the nettles) so went over the bars face first into said nettles.

I can add a tick to the list. I didn't see it on me but after a couple of weeks of feeling unaccountably knackered, a nice tick bullseye (Google it!) appeared on my arm. Three weeks of Doxycycline to mitigate the risk of Lyme disease. The look of disdain from the pharmacist suggested she thought it was treatment for The Clap. Rolling Eyes
