I'm sure i saw on here a while back some links to members galleries with downloadable warning signs to put in the car whilst charging to prevent accidentally driving off whilst still hooked up.
Darned if I can find them now. Can anybody point me in the right direction.
SWMBO needs one
Thanks in advance

CTEK Help
Ive just got a MXS 7 and put it on a old Numax leuisure battery, which still has some life in it. I placed the unit on the RECOND mode as indicated on the bottom line of modes.
My question is which light on the battery indicators on the top should be lit when this mode is finished?
Is it the battery full or the RECOND one under the SUPPLY one ?
TIA
sorry if this is in the wrong place Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!

Is it safe to leave let’s say a Mxs 7 and towing adapter connected for long periods of time , if I was not using the vehicle for a couple of months would it be a good idea and safe to leave it connected ?.

Yes the Ctek charger will do its thing automatically and allow a charge/discharge cycle periodically to keep it in best condition - much better than leaving the battery with no activityMust stop buying shiny toys....

@darrind ...... sorry, not ment unpolite
But that is not true..... each battery has a max on unload and load cycles.... 300 is often mentioned for a lead/acid battery
Such chargers, do “unload” and load cycles, so a battery wears when used that way..
Best is full charge and then disconnect completely (minus) when a battery is planned to not being used for a longer time.... after 2 or 3 months give it a full charge... and there you go again for an other 2 or 3 months..
I have seen sooooo many times that batterys did wear out completely in rather short periods after using such chargers...Best regards
Harold

From my personal experience...
I have a 2006 TD5 defender that is left on charge for months on end at my holiday home using one of Martins 13 pin connectors and a Ctek 7A charger. The battery was on the car when I bought it in Jan 2014, so it is at least 7 years old. I do not think the charger cycles the battery to any great extent if left on charge, so it is not using up duty cycles during the months standing.
Car is used as a Ski bus so has to cope with down to -15c on occasions and never been a problem starting with a 7 year old battery.
I have a Webasto pre heater and Sim card remote control so car can be warmed ready for use, but this obviously puts parked load on the battery for 20 mins before it is started. Charger definitely extends the life of a lead acid battery that is not used all the time.
Thought I'd ask here rather than start a new thread ...
It seems Halfords are dropping CTEK ... MSX 10 has not been available at any stores for click'n'collect for at least 2 weeks and is not available for home delivery.
They DO have stocks of the equivalent NOCO Genius kit ... has anyone got any views on them ?.
Dean

I have the NOCO Genius 5, I've only had it a couple of months but it has been working just fine. No issues to report.
