Lifting a Coil-Sprung D3/LR3

Can anyone please telll me whether there is a UK supplier for lifting kits for the Coil-sprung basic 5/7-seater D3/LR3 as yet? All I've found so far are Peddler & King Springs, both in Oz - although they will deliver to the UK.

Also, can any one advise on the performance of such an upgrade i.e. could they recommend a specific brand of lifting kit?

Thanks in advance. Bow down

I know the answer to this one Smile !

Speak to Andy in the proMAX Motorsport workshop (service@promaxmotorsport.com) who can supply Pedders springs. According to his email to me:

Price is as follows:

Fronts £95.00 per pair inc vat
Rears £95.00 per pair inc vat

Delivery £11.95 via parcelforce 48.

From what I read on a few webpages Pedders seem to give the better ride.

proMAX claimed a 35-40mm lift.

I didn't go ahead, as I was worried about loosing the armchair soft ride. proMAX weren't aware of anyone who had fitted them at the time, so could offer no feedback on ride quality. If I had covered my D3 with tat and increased its weight even more then the spring upgrade would have made more sense.

If anyone has fitted them to a standard spec D3 I would love to hear some feedback.

PS. I also understand that Bilstein are working on a D3 shock absorber. I will definitely upgrade to these when they are available for more body control.

Thank you both - that's rather encouraging seeming as Skorpion Racing told me it can't be done as their are fixed height macpherson struts. Crying or Very sad

Mind you their initial response was that there's no such thing as a coil sprung D3 Exclamation

Cheers, I'll let you know when it's done and what I decided on - Pedder or King Springs and will post pictures in my galley to show the install process and end result. Thumbs Up
