LED Spot Light install, factory plug?

Hi All,
I have just purchased some aftermarket LED spotlights which I will need to cut into the grill to fit.
My question is, does the MY15 D4 have a plug from factory in the front of the car, that would be predefined for Spot lights, or do I have to go the route of installing relay, fuse, trigger from High beams??Tks.

Nothing factory installed afraid. There was a wiring kit for the D3 / RRS but don't think that it will work on the D4.

There are some wiring looms that will work for simple on / off with a switch but I am trying to find one that will work with a trigger from the high beam. Would be interested if anyone can provide a link to one?

I've got the wiring loom from a set of spots that I keep meaning to put up for sale. Same as the one that gstuart posted with a 2 on the icon. Let me see if I can dig out some pics and put it in the for sale section.

I do really like the look of those switch panels for the console but just don't like the exposed rivet heads.

IIRC you legally only need a separate switch for roof mounted lights, but you can wire grill/bumper lights directly into the main beam loom via the obvious additional relay and fuse set up. And again IIRC there are set distances from out edge of the bumper for fogs/spot/driving lights.

I was wanting to use them as separate light, so need them on individual switch.
Thanks though

I may be wrong, so please don’t shoot me....

Are
Ate model D4’s can bus for the high beam? Or is that just with xenon?

If they are you need to pick up the can hi /lo signal, as there is not 12v at the lamp.

Check the Lazer lamps web site and canm8.

Like I say, I may be wrong.

Happy to be told how it all works, xenon or not!
