Just replaced standard bulbs on our 2008 Swift Conqueror with led's to match my Defender and they all work fine. Connect to my D3 to the caravan and indicators flicker when D3 indicators are of but flash fine when D3 indicators on
I have used canbus error free bulbs any ideas.

Trailer detection system? I'm still trying to find out how the D3 detects if something is connected or not, maybe it is putting a little voltage on the indicator pins? 2017-...: Disco II Td5 auto, 1999, BAS remap, HD TC and auto box Ashcroft, Allisport IC, ACE, 2" lift only coils, BF goodrich KM2 265/70R17, FF front and rear bumper, TF steering guard and tree sliders, nanocom.

Yeah, I currently have this problem, updated an old trailer to LED light clusters, plugged said trailer in to my D2, works perfect...Plug trailer in to D3 indicators flash gently like amber strobes...Right royal pain in the a s Richard.
If it 'bongs' one more time, I'm gonna drive it off a cliff!

If you search there are a few posts about it. From what I recall the D3 continually sends a 'pulse' to the indicators to see if a trailer is connected. This pulse isn't enough to illuminate ordinary bulbs but is enough to flash led bulbs. It's not easy to fix unfortunately, you need to wire up all sorts of gubbins on the trailer, most seem to have given up trying to solve the problem but a few have by using relays and the like.
Fortunately they fixed it on the D4 (my trailer has full led light clusters which work fine on the D4).

That would be the easiest en cheapest solution.
Maybe the leds can be used if you'd solder a capacitor parallel on the connection or maybe an RC filter is needed to filter out the pulses. Anyway, a lot of hassle for what it's worth.... 2017-...: Disco II Td5 auto, 1999, BAS remap, HD TC and auto box Ashcroft, Allisport IC, ACE, 2" lift only coils, BF goodrich KM2 265/70R17, FF front and rear bumper, TF steering guard and tree sliders, nanocom.

You could get on to Sargent who do the electrics on the Swifts. We've just had a similar problem with a D4, lights worked but the Trailer Indicator Warning Light failed to work and the Parking Sensors on the Rear would no longer turn off when selecting reverse, it was also suggested that the Trailer Assist would no longer function, all down to the low draw of the LED Lights was not enough to activate the Towing Electrics. All sorted FOC though by a box of tricks by Sargent, but they normally cost around £35, but it is made for each specific vehicle.
It seems that LED Trailer lights is a problem at the moment for lots of manufacturers.
