Jeff,
Censored ....not an easy install then by the sounds of it....I know what you mean. I did the rears and stood back while her in doors hit the brakes and I got a warm fuzzy just knowing I 'modified' my ride.

Thats the problem with watching American Rodder/ Custom My Ride and Wrecks to Riches USA, they make it all look too damn easy.
Well I think I'll give the Whipple Supercharger install a break for a day or two then. Whistle

Well, just got in from sorting it out......a bit of head scratching as the side light bulb hadnt blown....

Checked the dreaded fuses and I had two missing fuses !!!!!! Question

Inside fuse box, No1 - (Interior lamps and electric seats) missing and so was No 2 (Right hand side side light)

Censored if I know how that happened but in replacing both fuses, it fixed the other problem I have posted regarding the DVD system. It must have been wired into the interior lamp circuit rather than No 53 Multimedia module.

Anyway, once the fuses were sorted, I fitted the LED side lights and they look great. No interference or anything.

Thanks for the input guys. Thumbs Up

Kev

Not familiar with the 'turning lamps'.

The wedge type 501 mini light towers from Ultraleds replace the sidelights - mine went straight in without any problem and worked 1st time. I've also used blue ones for my puddle lights and they also worked 1st time.

However, others posting on here have suggested that if they don't light they should be put in the other way round (if you get my drift). Best to check that the sidelight LEDS light before putting the front lamp clusters back!

They're L E Ds (Light Emitting Diodes) and the function of a diode is to only allow current to flow in one direction. So if you put an LED in the wrong way, it will stop the current flowing instead of lighting up.

I managed to blow the fuse for the headlamp switch today, but that's another story Rolling Eyes
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

interference from rear led

Hello, Mactwo. Did you solve the problem of interference? I fitted 4 U38020R from Ultraleds yesterday , & I'm getting interference from them. When the radio signal becomes weak, there is a constant buzzing in the background, & this morning when I braked the cd was drowned out by loud buzzing although this has only happened once. Also, there is an electrical hum coming from both the rear light clusters when the sidelights are on. If you did solve it I'd be grateful to hear of the solution.

Radio interference during braking

I fitted the LED rear bulbs a few weeks ago, and think they are great. BUT, since fitting them I've been getting interference (poor reception) during braking. Anone else have this problem since fitting the LED stop/brake bulbs?
