Leather or seat covers

I have alpaca cloth poor mans seats and they are forever needing cleaning. I was thinking of some Melville & Moon seat covers, but now wondering if leather would be good.

Had leather in most of my other cars and it lasts well and is easy to clean.

Do people with leather ever bother with seat covers

Why cover a leather seat when you have paid for them?, Maybe I can see reasons for cloth when off road, but leather, no.

Seat covers have always puzzled me. Not as if your P/X will be lower come exchange. Your just saving the leather for the next owner Thumbs Up

Why not get the people Buckingham used in York, a long way yes, but a nice weekend away nethertheless!

I guess it depends on how you use your d3.If you are using it as a workhorse as well as personal /private transport, then it would make sense to protect the seats .Have just had the same thoughts about mine, would still cover leather as dont think it would stand the amount of grease etc, I regularly deposit on the seat-covers. Have been quoted £1000 + for leather re-trim by dealers against £400+ for M+M covers.

Alpaca may be a good colour to cover if your using it for heavy use, so in that case get covers for over your cloth seats and save a small fortune.

I've had a few cars over the years with leather and have never covered them, but I always go for black/charcoal colour as these hide dye transfer and other marks really well.

I think it was DSL who put covers over Alpaca leather only to take them off to find the covers had dyed the seats Shocked Shocked

I had LR seat covers over my cloth.
Now that I have leather, I have just sold my seat covers.
I am intending to get some very cheap slip over covers for the front to use in very dirty situations....

I put M&M seat covers on my leather seats in the summer. Much nicer to go to the beach.
The older I get, the better I was.
