Looking to get as large of a profile as pos.
Thanks.

If you're wanting to increase footprint for offroad purposes. I would also suggest putting on the smallest size rim you can, then add the largest profile tyre onto a smaller rim. That would me more advantageous.
Not sure what the smallest size rim is that you can put on a D3? I'm sure someone will say whether its possible.

Hi, you can put 17" rims on a D3 so long as you have NOT got the brake upgrade or HSE model as they will not fit. Ask me how i know

Mine had the V8 Brakes apparently..... how would I double check?
Got Goodyear All Weather on the rear and got a stone through one in the Forrest.
May give the General Grabbers a go...... 🤔🤷♂️

I found that tyres were a bit limited for 19" inch rims, so I am in the process of going down to 18" rims and putting on 265/60R18 BF Goodrich All-Terrain.2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey (UK)

If you’ve got a D3 with V8 brakes, fit 18” oe D3 rims. I did with the oe 255-60-18 size tyres.
I also have 18” Compomotive rims on my D4. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I have managed to source some 18" SE spec rims off the forum.
They're away now to be refurbished.
Once the BF G's are on I'll let you know how I get on.
Burns my a wee bit that I've only recently put on 4 Goodyear Wrangler HPs on the 19" rims, albeit at a good price. As I said, was unpleasantly surprised at the lack of range available in the UK for this size.2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey (UK)

I run 265/65R18 BFGs KO2s on my D3 in normal use they don’t rub at all even on access mode, only time I get a rub is reversing on full r/h lock onto my drive very rare, the rub is the plastic cover over the FBH exhaust, I’m also very pleased with the low noiseDiscovery 3 HSE 07

If you fit a full size spare that size the dirt guard has to be removed, only 25psi in tyre it winches up ok but needs a bit help to lower as it jams in placeDiscovery 3 HSE 07
