They are nice, but they are 32.1 they will probably rub with no lift.

Good evening. I have a disco 3 V8 4.4 petrol with standard 18" wheels. I am looking for the best all weather and rough terrain tyres. Choice would appear to be limited. What do people use? I have seen a post with BF Goodrich 265 instead of 255. they look good and are reasonably priced.
All comments welcome.
My usage is generally road use and occasionally off road or awkward terrain.
Another factor is cost in so much as the rumour that Govt will enforce a four yaer life limit on the MOT tests at some point soon - is this true or false.?

The Pirelli Scorpion AT+ in 255-60-18 would be my choice for the use the you describe.

Grabber AT3 would also be a decent choice, especially if there's a bit more mud involved. I've found the Pirelli AT+ not to be quite so good in mud - the tread blocks are quite large compared to the AT3's. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Problem with mud is that it’s so varied in consistency. I’ve had Wrangler MTR’s turned into racing slicks by mud with a high clay content. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Indeed so, but having used both tyres, I'd say the Grabber AT3 is slightly better in slippery mud/grass than the Pirelli. I reckon the Pirelli would be better in rough conditions - rocky tracks etc. It's probably marginal in both cases, however.
Both are all season as both are winter rated which matches one of Rich Lewin's requirements.  Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

I'd say they're both pretty quiet. The Grabber is the better road tyre, especially when newish. I found they got a bit slippery in the wet when over half worn. The Pirelli is similarly a bit less crisp as it wears past halfway. It's not as crisp at turn in nor does it grip quite as well as the AT3 even when new.
I'd buy the Grabber AT3 again over the Pirelli for UK use, I think, for mostly road use.
But I'd be happy with either if no choice was available. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
