Larger tyres?

Hi, do you load premiums for larger tyres? 275 45 20 instead of 255 50 20 on standard alloys.

Hi

it's dependant on insurer, but generally if you call for a quote and have mods or wider tyres, non standard alloys etc we'll look at a policy that's most suited to you.

It depends on insurer... some do some don't. Remember we are a broker not an insurer so will look at what is the best option for you i.e. an insurer that doesn't charge may still work out more expensive than looking at another insurer that does charge.
There's also more influencing factors like if it's in addition to an already modified vehicle or if it's the only mod to be listed... so it's not a straight yes or no I'm afraid - it's something that needs to be discussed with the rest of the risk details Smile just give us a call and we can take a look for you, 01635 874646.

I thought it funny when I swapped one of my vehicles. I went from a 2009 Fiat 500 1.2 pop to a 2016 231hp JCW Mini. Premium increase £0

Luckily we are specialists and don't just use your standard insurers... so not everything is computer says Smile we speak directly to underwriters a lot.

On another note... What JCW model do you have? Very Happy I own a R57 JCW Convertible They're great!

Well A-plan beat the generic insurers by £55 and the nearest specialist by a tenner so I'm pleased with that
