Larger diameter brake discs on D4 2014.
Hi, I'm owner of a Discovey 4 MY2014 whose braking has always been rather weak: if it's possible I would like to improve it by mounting larger diameter brake discs.
When I bought my D4 it fitted ''18 wheels: seeing the picture it's clear to understand that the brake discs are undersized.
Could I mount larger diameter brake discs on my D4? .. for example, could I mount those of the D4 that already have ''19 wheels?
If it's possible, should I change the brake calipers as well?
Thanks to who want to help me!

18” wheels will fit all D4s as far as I know, I cannot see anyone fitting smaller brake disks to a D4, if you have “weak” brakes you have a problem elsewhere, brakes on my D4 are superb.
What is the diameter of your disks? It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

The only real "upgrade" for D4 is the 6 pot Brembo setup...My D3 Build Thread

18 inch wheels don't fit on a D4 because of the brake (except compomotive wheels which the ones in the picture aren't).
Those discs in the photo look very small. Has someone already modified it and fitted smaller brakes to make the wheels fit?
I always found the D4 brakes very good and certainly not in need of any upgrade.
I've just noticed that yours is a coil spring one. All the UK ones were air sprung, perhaps that is the reasonon for the difference.
Perhaps fit a full set of genuine UK spec D4 brakes but you'll need to change to 19 or 20 inch wheels if you do.MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

Probably I didn't explain well: my D4 (base version, 211 hp) was originally with ''18 wheels because is a base version with coil springs suspension currently selled in Italy.
Now, how you can see in the photo in attached, I have replaced the original ''18 wheels with ''20 wheels from RRS, so I would like to fit larger diameter brake discs because now there i a lot of empty space.
I would like to fit D4 upgraded brake discs (that are fitted on D4 SE or HSE with air suspension) or also larger brake discs (for example RRS ones) if it's possible considering that now I have ''20 wheels .D3 TDV6, Zermatt Silver, Coil Spring Suspension, Tyres 285/55 R 18

In that case, you can fit the normal V8 upgrade, D4 standard setup, 4 pot Brembo's or 6 pot Brembos

Is it my idea or your front brake discs is smaller than mine. My D4 is a MY15 XXV with 20" rims....
