Lanoguard in Hertfordshire:
Just to post that if any of you live in Hertfordshire (nr Rickmansworth), Harris Mayes:
https://www.harris-mayescountrycars.co.uk/
have just done their first Lanoguard of a (my) Discovery 4.
Here are some before & after photos so you can see how much prep they had to do and the end result. (which dictated the price). 3 coatings were required in the end. They removed the wheels & spare wheel and lifted it up to clean & brush everything down.
Fingers crossed this will last a couple of years now.
They’ve done 3M Body Schutz coatings before but not Lanoguard so this is a first for them too.
I found these guys at the beginning of the year after I brought my first Disco and because I’d had previous issues with my local JLR dealership with my old Jag XF I tried them out and haven’t looked back since. The local plod use them for all their JLR kit too.
They did my belts & first service and recently my 2nd service. Drew is the guy who sorted me out every time.
What an amazing bunch of people and they always have courtesy cars, unlike the local JLR dealership which I’m reticent to go back to unless its an emergency…
Fingers crossed this will last a couple of years as I’m all over the country visiting archaeological sites & chums.

Excellent photos and looks like they’ve made a very thorough job.I was thinking of using lanoguard but their literature states in needs redoing every year. What are your plans to keep up this level of protection?
By the way, interested to know how old your car is.
That will certainly keep out the winter salt
CheersGary

This is it. Drew, the guy who always looks after my car said he's looking forward to seeing how the coating has held-up at its next service. I was a bit concerned by the amount of surface rust I saw when I looked underneath on its last service a month ago, so I got my credit card out as I knew i was going to be spending the next year up & down mountains.Discovery 4 HSE late 2015 Euro6

That certainly looks like a thorough job to me. Were the doors, boot, hood, body done as well?
I recently had mine done as well, but the solution from https://corrosionfree.com/
needs to be reapplied every year.2015 LR4 HSE Lux Aintree Green

No it wasn't everything. It was all wheels (& spare) taken off, flaps off (!) Arch rims (rim job!) for a good clean-out; as the wells that go down under the air vents were full of leaves & gunk apparently.
As I mentioned. He gave it three coasts of Lanoguard (after a four hour wait for each previous coat to dry) so fingers crossed it'll last a couple of years. He wants to check it at my next service to see how it lasted so they can offer it as an option for customers moving foreword.
The chap showed me some of the sealed soundproofing blocks that are wedged down the gaps between the air vent and the front of the car in the wings, as it looked like I was smuggling coke!Discovery 4 HSE late 2015 Euro6

That is excellent. Mind sharing the ballpark cost? Mine probably pales in comparison at ~$300 .2015 LR4 HSE Lux Aintree Green

Nice... pity they don't do VWs as I'm keen to have my T5 California done.
