Landrover Allegiance
Has anyone had experience of this, is it worth the effort?
My D4 is just 2 years old and I have received an invitation. Should I?2016 D4 Landmark SDV6 (Euro6), Zanzibar (late run D4)

Land Rover Allegiance used to only be available once the vehicle was 3 years old and I've not heard this had changed
Just found this on a LR dealers website

Great news for owners of Land Rover vehicles over 3 years old!

I had it once on a previous Landie after 3years old. Still got the plastic card somewhere. Gave me 10% on parts and (maybe) labour at the dealer. Worked fine and no effort aside from having to show the card everytime. However the dealer changed hands and started to refer to it as an old loyalty scheme the previous company ran but they would be good enough to honour it as I was a loyal customer. I never quibbled as I got the discount, but thought it was an odd comment on what was apparently an LR central scheme. Maybe it's optional for the dealers to take it up

wouldnt bother, complete rip off, had this until the new card came thru for TH White's previously got labour at £85 ph plus vat, then 15% off parts.
Now there labour rate is £110 ph less 10%, then 5% off yer next mot etc, etc,
complete ossers coz they did not tell me until i then had to pay the bill for a brake exhauster to be fitted, WILL NOT USE TH WHITES SERVICE even if my life depended upon it

Yes twas from Pentland. Ok, I'll register.
They (like everything else about modern Landrovers) are pricey but I have always had good service from them, car collection from home, courtesy car, never a challenge to covering all failures under warranty. etc. It will be good to get some discount off some of that.
I guess it is a measure of the reliability of Landrovers that I am on first name terms with the service department guys .... 2016 D4 Landmark SDV6 (Euro6), Zanzibar (late run D4)

The problem, I suspect, is that we are tempted to overlook the possibility of going outside the main stealer network for our servicing for longer than might otherwise have been the case, in the mistaken believe that a 10% discount is a good thing whereas a labour rate of about half as much at a local LR specialist would cost us significantly less in the first place. you gotta laff!2016 D4 Landmark SDV6 (Euro6), Zanzibar (late run D4)

Beadles are servicing mine at the same price as an independent, but as it isn't 3 yrs old yet I can't get a card, maybe it would have been cheaper
