I can't help but feel that the D5 looks ugly in those shots, especially from straight ahead. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
2012 RRS SDV6
2008 RRS TDV8
"When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die! You don't know who's children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they were always going to have to do from the very beginning: SIT DOWN AND TALK!"

When I went on my Land Rover experience earlier this year I loved every minute of it. So apart from the rear number plate position I like the new Discovery a lot. (Can't afford one though) Mantec sump guard.
Prospeed tree slider/steps.
Flack duel battery system.
18"Compomotive/AT3 tyres
Brembo 4pot front brakes

I have no time for nostalgia other than to say that I agree in it's day the D3\4 looked wonderful. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Like me, you love the "Tonka toy" styling of the new Defender. A nostalgic nod towards past LR designs.
Yes the D4 is history, but we can still make observations and comments comparing the style and design of present and past inanimate objects such as cars, buildings etc. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Oh for sure ...but when you see the duffer in the flesh it is definably a defender rather than a D4 or it's replacement. Excluding personal views on design the D5 tricked up would be a close match to the duffer in terms of capability and arguably, with more space available, in terms of practicality too. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
