Thanks Mikey much appreciated.
It’s a 3.0.
I was quite ok with the idea of a 0 miles engine. My doubt now is the engine could be much older and higher mileage than the car. Obviously I have no idea how far they go in terms of reconditioning.2014 D4 HSE Facelift Corris Grey

would a reconditioned engine from LR usually come with new (or recon) water and oil pump?
Just trying to prepare myself fully for the conversation with them. Thanks all.2014 D4 HSE Facelift Corris Grey

I would like to imagine that they would replace "all" working/moving parts. So hopefully that would include the oil pump but worth checking.

The 3.0 are fully remanfactured from the exchange engines that come from jobs where a new engine has been fitted. New cranks are fitted regardless of the condition of the 'old' crank.
I've been to the reman plant and it's very impressive.
Pricing is good too and warranty the same as a 'new' engine.

Price comparison; New Vs Reman
GEN1 3.0 up to 2015
New long engine = £10,163
Reman long engine = £6,177
New short engine = £4,749
No reman short engines yet.
GEN2 3.0 2015 onwards
New long engine = £8,090
New short engine = £4,800
No reman GEN2 engines yet
Notes
All engines come with timing belts, rocker covers (inlet manifolds), oil pump, sump, front cover and 24mth warranty.
All prices subject to £2,500 surcharge against old engine. Snapped cranks are ok so long as no block damage has occurred. VAT is not included in these prices, except for the surcharge.
We've fitted a few of the reman engines and new ones. I have to say they look exactly the same to me.Joe
