i thought it was a tad expensive, last service at an indy was £400 just wondered it there was a benefit to using main dealer D1 200TDI 3 Door (Most expensive Land Rover ever as it got me hooked)

a bit longer wait, much more frustration with unprofessional work and lame excuses of work not done
and list goes on ...

How many miles were you planning on doing over the next 3 years and what’s the maximum number of services it would include? 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: FL2 as a second car
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!

Benefits of using a main dealer? Playing devil’s advocate here, so don’t flame me!
Many people would still value a complete main dealer service history, rather than (maybe unknown to them) independents. Software updates may be easier from a main dealer too. 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: FL2 as a second car
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!

If you do go down the main dealer route I would have thought paying as you glo ( ie each year) would be better. It wouldn’t cost that much more (if anything) and you wouldn’t be tied in. You could try the first one and see how it goes. In the meantime you can earn interest on your money or save up if necc. Gary

I agree with Gary.
Once you have bought into it you are committed to stay. Pay-as-you-go means your options are always open.
Do they even allow cancellation - if yes what is the penalty?
Just a thought............... "Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

At that price I would keep the money in the bank
as said ^^ few other things to consider as well, if it stays with the car then potentially there is some value if you sell the car with services left?
Shows how L/R has altered their pricing, believe the option of a service pack on a New car has been suspended at the mo and our 2016 has a 5y or 50k SP that the original purchaser would have paid £700-£800 for, we have had 2 services and 2 more left Transit! 2019
