Its an interface box with vairous inputs ...i have one ( not from him ...someone else)
It is connected either inbetween the sat nav box and the screen under the pasenger seat , or behind the sat nav screen its self .
He has the one with a couple of can bus wires , which enable you to use the hard button under the screen to change channels.
Its a good price ...i have one by mistake as im waiting for one with VGA input and they have sent me the wrong one .
I connected it up the other day and its quite good ...a 12 volt supply to the camera wire switches over the screen to the reversing camera ..G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Reversing camera has silly guidence lines on it ..on some interfaces you can turn it off in the menuG4 Gone ...but not forgotten
Thats all you need ..or so im led to belive ..perhaps an email to the seller to confirm G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

ok bit the bullett and bought one from fleabay , hope i don't have any problems and it does what it says on the tin. , if so will be able to get the reversing camera finished and usable without the diagnostic screen and the dvd player and digtal tuner i have hanging around might actually get fitted aswell.Tintenter

Tintenter ...fairly easy to fit ..all the rca connectors are there for your inputs etc .
The audio still has to be tapped into the aux input on the D3 ..either through the aux socket or hard wire it through the connector in the footwell / or stereo itself...(or you can use a fm modulator)
Then what ever you select on the interface it will put the appropriate sound on .
There is proberly gonna be 2 can bus wires to connect .These can be connected into the connector at the back of the sat nav unit ...or directly behind the stereo .This will enable you to use the left hand hard button under the sat nav to change inputs. ..It should also come with a remote.
Dont take any of this as gospel ...as i have only seen the wiring diagram not the actual unit .
I have looked at a few of these and they are all pretty simular .G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

hopefully it should all go ok as already fitted the extra phono sockets at the back of the centre console and run the cables to the back of the car for reversing camera and that turned up this week so just need to strip the rear door to get from the corner to the handle on the upper door to fit it so it can see the towbar and rear bumper.Tintenter

Have you got th reversing camera working automatically when you select reverse?
