5. Reduce prices by 50% to 75% - if I am going to wear or carry a logo to promote a company's products I expect to pay LESS than I might pay for the same product without a logo. LR should reward me for promoting their products.

Another vote on the topic that these items are priced to not sell.
That's just a white t-shirt, £35?! No LR logo means it looks just like a £3 one from Primark.
£400 for a carry on suitcase? £40 for a Dinky car?
YIKES
It's looking like Land Rover are trying to squeeze out all the people who helped build the company. It looks to me that they just want the upper end markets, the kind where you buy a new Range Rover, so a £200 bag or £35 t shirt are just sandwhich money to them.If in doubt, It's time for a Cuppa.

you know the issues behind the original supplier where we could never get what we needed as it was all backorderd
then Unipart took it on promising a greater range which did not happen
this turned most dealers off from promoting it through their departments
we (dealers) have no official way of displaying it in the showrrom (Not part of 21st CLR)
its good quality stuff but WAY TO EXPENSIVETLO has left the building.......

Dan/Nick...is the range of merchandise selling well within its current pricing structure ?"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
Locking rear E-diff
RLD spare wheel protector & sump guard
Extended roof rails
Series 111 mudflaps
Black side tubes,grill and vents
Timed climate remote
Hids4u interior lights
D4 Firenze my2012 HSE
D3 Java 2005 SE manual (sold, sadly, thanks for the memories)
1966 '88 Series 2a....still starts in the morning better than I do...
1. What are you're thoughts on the current range?
not as good as it was in the past (maybe (7 - 8 years ago...
very much the same as other makers with A LR logo on it
neednt be this was as LR are different (vehicles & heritage)
2, Have you purchased any of the new range?
No
3, Would you purchase any of the new range, if not why?
No....if I wanted any of the items I could do better
...OK a LR Mug or Tee shirt...you buy these for nostalgia only
What really irks me that if you did..then a few week later you
see the same thing on a huge discount at the LR gear shop
4, Have you purchased any Land Rover Gear/Merchandise in the past?
Yes...but over 8 years ago...when it was unusual & worth buying
5, What would you like to see Land Rover Gear do in the future with their products?
If I need outdoor clothing I will go & buy the clothing I need:
Paramo water / wind proofs
Swanndri Merino wooly warm clothing
IceBreaker Merino
I get Mugs given every other day with ads on....you should get them free whan you use a dealer for wrk done
The luggage isnt even on my radar...I have LLBean tote bags...(brilliant colours, cheap & tough) & use The Bridge bags for the times I want to be posh...
you have to ask your self "what do I but branded things for":
impress workmates & friends "I've got a Land Rover" they can see that 'cos theres 2.7 tons of it parked outside
or
to make me feel better / smug / ?
If you ask me its nonsense really.....Go back some time ago the clothing was actually quite good (100% cotton shirts) well made with subtle logos
none of the stuff is jumping up & saying "buy me"BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

It not promotional kit as such though is it ...it's licensed merchandise
They don't need you to do any advertising If you buy a football or rugby shirt then you buy it because you are proud of your club not because you are advertising it.
If you don't want merchandise then don't buy it I'm sure it represents about 0.0005% of their current revenue 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

DG,
I think the capitalist response above does not work when we are being invited to express our views. It would be a rather dull and unhelpful thread if we didn't respond!

Hardly ...they are turning over a billion pounds a month at the moment. Merchandising contracts are probably dealt with by an intern 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
