The second set of red words only apply where you have PPI or other insurance included in the loan. By the looks of things that part of your statements is compliant and there's no breach, sorry.
Not to say there may not be other errors elsewhere, but the key elements have definitely been covered. Next thing to check would be the dates these were issued to you as that's led to payment being made in some instances.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Chaps,

agh letter back from black horse...that according to my letter to them they were of the understanding i was complaining about being sold PPI on the loan.....never mentioned PPI...Another letter needed with a little more direction i feel........help Nodo$h..please
Hysterical! Although nothing surprises me in this game.
As long as you are confident your statements failed to comply with section 77 as above, write back explaining what part of the statement has been missed and request a refund of the interest paid during the period covered by the offending statement.
The second red section is only relevant where you had ppi so don't go using that bit!I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Nice apologetic letter through the door from Black Horse Finance this morning with the promise of a cheque for a four figure amount in the post in 7-10 working days
And it highlights the specific paragraph they missed (Al's blue text) too - so I would absolutely recommend ANYONE who took Black Horse Finance (the LR standard I think) especially in 2009 to go dig out their annual statements and see whether there's a potential surprise Christmas present on the horizon!
(I'm going back to check the finance details on my old MY06 Disco now to see if there is any angle there too - can anyone say if there is a time limit on this?Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
And a big thank you for the donation to my Help for Heroes "Team Goat Riders" pot Steve, very much appreciated I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

OK so I've finally worked out that my previous D3 was bought (period 2006-2009) through Land Rover Financial Services which under the hood is actually Ford Credit Europe (FCEBank) - I'm about to send a speculative letter to them too, but I wondered whether anyone has had any success (or rejections) from these people?Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Hi SN
Did you get any reply from them on this yet?
Cheers

Without prompting - as I never did get off my butt and sort it out... BH Finance have sent me a letter regarding my agreement. They are sending a refund but direct to my account - no suggestion of it being "an offer" or "accepting settlement"... just purely we can't keep the interest as we failed, here's the money.
I wonder whose responsibility it was at the time and how long they've been on jobseeker's since...MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)
