Unfortunately I suspect they'll tell you the aftermarket warranty is nothing to do with themMark

Its nothing to do with the engine, its the drivers seat creaking like an old barn door.

The clue is in the title .... 'approved'.
It means that LR approve of it, but won't have anything to do with it (especially in underwriting it.)I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Hi DSL
Drivers seat creaks ,when turning right at roundabouts /junctions and for the last few week every day driving ,can even get the seat to creak just moving/rocking side to side while sat on the seat.
Has been back twice before to sort the creak out,first time all moving parts re lubricated.The second time on the 22/8/17 the seat was removed from the D4 for more work to sort out the creak ,again all runners and the rear back rest adjustment motors were re lubricated again,this cured the creak for a few weeks .
All the work was coverd by the Approved Warranty .Iv`e got the work/job sheet for the work carried out by Stratstone Cardiff.
Seat starts creaking a few weeks later yet again ,taken back to Stratstone beginning of December and booked in for 8/1/18 .Received a phone call in the afternoon at 3:30 pm to say Approved Warranty would not cover the removal of the Drivers seat to solve the problem, thay had the D4 at 8:30 am .....To say i`m a bit naffed off is an understatement.

Quick update
Just got a phone call from Stratstone Cardiff .Drivers seat has been removed after test drive ,seat creaked as soon as test driven .No splits found in plastic trim around base of seat , no cracks found in seat runners/frame .All moving parts of the seat have been re-lubricated again ,test driven again and no creaks reported .
Also told there are no costs to pay......Will see if the seat starts creaking again .
